PANEER BUTTER MASALA - How to cook Paneer Butter Masala/ Paneer Makhni

Ingredients:

  • Paneer - 200 gms
  • Onion - 1 thinly sliced
  • Tomato - 2 sliced
  • Ginger garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
  • Cashews - 10
  • Cinnamon - 1
  • Cloves - 2
  • Cardamom - 2
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Kasmiri Red Chilli powder - 1/2 tablespoon
  • Garam masala - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Kasuri Methi - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Butter - 3 tablespoon
  • Cream - 3 tablespoon
  • Salt - As needed
  • Coriander - To garnish


Method:

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of butter, and add Cinnamon,cloves and cardamom.
  2. Add the onions and sautè them till it turns transparent.
  3. Add the ginger garlic paste, and fry till the raw smell goes off.
  4. Now, add tomatoes, and cook them till it turns mushy.
  5. Add the cashew nuts and fry them for 2 minutes.
  6. Turn off the stove, and cool the mixture.
  7. Blend them into a lump free paste.
  8. Heat a pan, and add the butter.
  9. When the butter is melted, add the grinded mixture.
  10. Add the turmeric powder, Kasmiri Red chilli powder and Garam masala.
  11. When the mixture gets cooked, add the cubed Paneer pieces.
  12. Now, add the hand crushed Kasuri methi and 2 tablespoons of cream.
  13. Turn off the stove and garnish with coriander leaves.
