For Dough:
- Maida - 1.5 cup
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Water - For kneading
- Oil - For greasing
For stuffing:
- Oil - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic - 3 pods finely chopped
- Ginger - 1 piece finely chopped
- Green chilly - 2 finely chopped
- Carrot - 1 grated
- Beans - 2 finely chopped
- Cabbage - a small piece finely chopped
- Spring onion - 2 stems chopped
- Salt - As needed
- Soya Sauce - 1 teaspoon
- Pepper - 1 teaspoon
Method:
- First, to prepare the dough, mix the maida and salt.
- Add the water, and knead it into a fine dough.
- Grease some oil over the top and cover the bowl with a wet cloth.
- Heat a pan and add the oil.
- Add chopped ginger, garlic, green chilly, carrot, beans and cabbage.
- Sautè them for 10 mins till the veggies got cooked.
- Add the soya sauce, salt and pepper.
- Fry them for a minute and sprinkle some spring onions.
- Pick a small ball from the dough, and roll out using roll pin by dusting maida.
- Roll it into a thin circle and put small amount of stuff in the centre.
- Start pleating the edges slowly and gather everything.
- Press in the centre, and seal the momos.
- Place a steamer and arrange the momos in a tray, without touching other.
- Steam momos for 10-12 mins or till shiny sheen appears.
- Turn off the flame and plate the momos.
