IDLI UPMA - How to cook Idli upma recipe

Ingredients:

  • Idli - 6 pieces
  • Turmeric powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Green chilly - 3 chopped
  • Curry leaves - 3/4 sprigs
  • Mustard - 1 teaspoon
  • Urad dal - 1 teaspoon
  • Chana dal - 1 teaspoon
  • Onion - 1 cup chopped
  • Salt - As needed
  • Oil - 2 tablespoon
  • Coriander - To garnish


Method:

  1. Heat a pan and add the oil.
  2. Splutter the mustard seeds and urad dal.
  3. Add the onion, green chilly and curry leaves.
  4. Fry them till onion turns into transparent.
  5. Then add the turmeric powder and salt.
  6. Mash the idli and add them.
  7. Fry them till the masala coats.
  8. Turn off the stove and garnish with coriander leaves.
